Degrassi Junior High Season One  Degrassi Junior High was the teen show that ruled the 80's. The series ran on PBS in the late 80's. Degrassi was such a cool show for teens. This show rocked and had junior high and high school kids glued to their sets and on the edge of their seat waiting for the next episode. The show ran for three seasons and then spawned the follow-up series Degrassi High. There really was no "star" of Degrassi Junior High. The ensemble cast made the show what it was. Steph was the popular girl who seemed to have it all but had her own problems, Voula was the girl who wanted to fit in but had a strict set of parents, Wheels was a cool kid who had to deal with the fact that he was adopted, Joey was the ringleader of his band, Lucy was a latchkey kid with a lot of freedom (Spike and Shane did the do at Lucy's party), and so many more members of the ensemble cast made this show what it was.
