Duran Duran. They ruled the 80's with their handsome looks and exotic videos. At the peak of their success they broke into two units, Simon, Nick and Roger formed Arcadia. John and Andy joined The Power Station. The plan was that the five would reunite after they were finished with their side projects. |
The last time that the five members of
Duran Duran performed at a national event was Live Aid in 1985.
Roger and Andy left the group, and the remaining three carried
on. After several lineup changes during the 90's, finally, 16
years later the five original members of Duran Duran have reunited.
The "Fab Five" are recording again and they are planning to
release an album in 2002.

How many different lineups has Duran Duran had? Is the "Essentials Night Versions" CD out of print? Just ask Katy and she will try her best to answer those and any other Duran Duran questions you have. She knows almost everything about the group, but she doesn't answer questions about the group members' children or their personal lives. Her section is updated frequently, and she even has a special section to answer the questions she gets asked the most. Trust us-- Katy is a valuable resource to "The Duranie." Katy what is your role with Duran Duran? "Officially, I am their North American coordinator. I take care of most of the fan stuff, events they do in America, and all their guest lists when they tour." How long have your been with Duran Duran? "Five years." What is you favorite Duran Duran album? "Rio." What is your favorite Duran Duran video? "White Lines." What is the hardest thing about your job? "The Duran Duran fans are very devoted-- and when I can't help them in a manner that they would like, they get very angry with me. I get a lot of the "shoot the messenger" with this job." You can find the ask Katy section on Duran Duran's official web site, http://www.duranduran.com/. Katy Krassner feature by Dorrie Wheeler.
